Ahhh..... Thursday. woke up on time, went to school, slacked DEL class. Played Squash with Les And Ven from 10 till 2.... Learned Serving by leslie, and driving by Stephen(thanks guys). had 2 char siew baos, went to DEL tutorial.... then squash again. hahaha. meeting got cancelled =P. anyway.... went back with jonas, called carmen, then had dinner. Went Down for soccer. Entire Match Commentry:

It was a 5 a side match up on wet grass. Teams were Jonas, John, Mervyn, Junfeng and me Versus Elvin, Boon Howe, Anthony, BJ and Yanwen.
Start of match. On paper, my team was stronger. but their team made us run, made us block and made our lives difficult. then suddenly anthony scores from a free kick. Our team Jolts into action. Junfeng in Goal, John Defending, Mervyn Striking with Jonas and me in the wings. twist turn twist, and jonas wins a corner. I take it. looking up, saw Yanwen Off guard. took my chance. struck a curler to the near post. yanwen punches the ball in anxiety, and punches it into the net. 1-1. =D match got interesting. Jonas took down boon howe in penalty box, free kick awarded. elvin takes, anthony controls, releases a shot early. Junfeng parries it and the loose ball was found by jonas, who runs up with me and unselfishly sets me up 1 on 1 with Yanwen, took a shot right between his legs, and we were 2 -1 up. victory dance. hahaha. but as soon as we finished our overly timed complacent Celebration, Elvin was already thundering down the right. pass goes to anthony and as always, finishes clinically with a first time volley. 2 -2. switch of tactics, Jonas goes to goal keeping, i stayed on wings with junfeng, mervyn stayed striker and John was holding/attacking midfield. Through ball by John finds Jonas, and with a shot that flies off yanwen, junfeng rushes in for a unchallenged volley! somehow also blocked by a stray hand, jonas taps in the rebound leaving us 3-2 in the lead. Opposing team switches tactics with boon howe in a distribution role and elvin and BJ down the flanks. Grabbed a Through Ball by john, and Junfeng takes a shot but hits the pole and jonas taps in his second goal with a helpless yanwen. 4-2. i think they started getting pissed. so they started taking alot of Potshots from midfield. a shot from anthony leaves me scrambling, a shot by baojie thwacked the pole. Boonhowe shoots but slips and falls, shot deflecting off john and squeezing into a tight corner against a surprised Junfeng. 4-3. Elvin takes a shot and deflects in again. 4-4. Frustration loomed. We started a new attack with me goalkeeping, John in the same role and mervyn and jonas on flanks. running, tackles flying all over the place. Some how, john manages to get a pass to Mervyn and he takes an angled shot, yanwen fumbles. 5-4.... then. it starts to drizzle. so match ended there and then we a fair enough result. Kudos to the losing team. for making the actual soccer players work extremely hard for the win. I hope i got the goal tallies correct!!!!
